Born in Kuala Belait, Brunei Darussalam, Huifong went to the United States, France and Italy to learn painting and sculpting. In 2014, Huifong held her first solo exhibition “Art and Emotion” in Singapore. The exhibition developed her artistic career and she has since been active in the art circles of Brunei, China, Italy, Singapore and UAE.
Amongst Huifong’s well-known paintings include Founding Father of Singapore Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, then-President of Singapore President Tony Tan and spouse, President of Singapore Madam Halimah and spouse, and then-Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr. Tun Mahathir and spouse and The Golden Jubilee of the Coronation of His Majesty Sultan of Brunei Darussalam. Her works were presented to the Prime Ministers, Presidents, His Majesty Sultan of Brunei and other dignitaries.
In 2015, Huifong won a special award from the Umbria International Biennale in Italy and the following year, she also won the International Award of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. Huifong has also been invited to participate in international art exhibitions, and formal visits to schools, universities and art research institutes in Singapore and China.
Huifong speaks 7 languages, namely English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, Hokkien, Cantonese, French and Italian.
Huifong founded Huifong’s Art Gallery, which focuses on cross-cultural and international art workshops, events and exhibitions, which has seen active collaborations with the art circles in Brunei, China, Singapore and Italy, and art projects with schools in Argentina, Indonesia and Singapore through co-organising, participating and supporting through international cultural exchange activities and exhibitions.
She has been invited to speak in her profession as an artist and international art & cultural exhibition organizer in Singapore and China-ASEAN platforms.
